The one thing the Flyers must overcome is the potential for an extended losing streak. With five players still on the covid list, the Flyers will be shorthanded once again tonight.
In the two prior games, the short-handed Flyers have struggled to find their rhythm. Something that has led head coach Alain Vigneault to continue to search for a full 60-minute effort from his team.
“We have had some good moments, but we haven’t been able to sustain it for a full 60 yet,” head coach Alain Vigneault said.
One player the Flyers will get back on Wednesday is Captain Claude Giroux. Who will make his return to the lineup after his spell with covid. Something the Flyers hope will give them a jolt in the lineup.
With losses in both games since returning from their covid shutdown, the Flyers look to rebound against the Rangers.
“I feel good, practice today was good, it was good pace,” Flyers Captain Claude Giroux said. “To get back on the ice, it was fun. It’s been a while since I’ve seen my teammates. Today it felt like first day of camp or something, so today was a good day.”
