The Philadelphia Flyers begin a home-and-home, back-to-back tonight against the Washington Capitals. The first matchup of the Flyers young Russian superstar, Matvei Michkov, and Capitals star Alex Ovechkin.

Michkov, who has four points (two goals & two assists) thru his first five NHL games, will be the center of attention once again tonight. Especially with the “Great 8” – Alex Ovechkin – in the house.

So far this season, the Flyers have struggled to find the back of the net. Scoring just 12 goals thru the first five games.

Owen Tippett, who was second on the team last year in goals, has yet to score this season. Something that hasn’t been from lack of trying, but also a little frustrating for Tippett who has just 17 shots on net from 71 shot attempts.

Samuel Ersson will make his fourth start of the season. On the season, Ersson is 1-1-1 with 2.99 GAA & .894%.
