The Philadelphia Flyers have offered John Tortorella a contract to be the next head coach of the Flyers according to ESPNs Kevin Weekes.

The 63-year-old head coach was an analyst last season for ESPN after mutually parting ways with the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2021.

In his 18-years as an NHL head coach, Tortorella has coached 1383-games in the NHL with a record of 673-541-169.

Initial reports of Tortorella’s candidacy for the Philadelphia Flyers head coaching position broke on Saturday. Coming from Daily Faceoff’s Frank Seravalli.

Tortorella has not officially accepted the offer yet. However, all signs point to John Tortorella becoming the 23rd head coach in Flyers history.
