After looking shaky in the first two games, Alain Vigneault decided it would be best to start building chemistry for the season. A move that saw the should be Flyers opening-night lineup play on Saturday vs the Capitals.
“Everybody played their roles and I felt like everybody played pretty solid tonight,” Claude Giroux said. “Preseason is tough to get yourself into it but tonight there was good intensity in the game.”
Looking to build on their chemistry, the Flyers will get their first taste of a back-to-back. An early test to see how the team responds to a quick turnaround.
“I think we’re a tight group,” Rasmus Ristolainen said. “That’s what you want to see out there, and it was fun.”
Martin Jones rebounded after a shaky first start with a full squad Flyers team in-front of him. Tonight, Carter Hart gets his first game action with the projected opening night lineup. Hart will play the full game tonight vs the Bruins.
