Morgan Frost Enters Covid Protocol

After starting the game in his usual spot on the Flyers 2nd line, Morgan Frost would leave the game mid-way through the 1st period.

Frost, who played just 2:12 on three-shifts, left the game with an undisclosed injury & would not return.

“I thought he had a good start to the game,” interim head coach Mike Yeo said post-game about Frost.

Yeo continued with “I was told that due to COVID-19 protocols that he had to be removed from the game.”

With the Flyers headed to Canada for a one-game road-trip vs Montreal on Thursday, the team is in an expanded covid protocol. A protocol that may have produced the result to pull Frost from the game.

On the radio broadcast, Tim Saunders & Steve Coates discussed that very possibility during the game. Saying the staff & team took covid tests before the game. As well as would be taking another before leaving for Montreal today.

“I know that we will have more on him with his status tomorrow morning,” interim head coach Mike Yeo said.

In 10-games this season, Frost has 1-goal & 3-assists and is averaging 12:33 of ice-time.

With Joel Farabee (shoulder) & Derick Brassard (hip) not quite ready to return just yet, expect the Flyers to recall a forward from Lehigh.

One potential player that could replace Morgan Frost is Wade Allison. Who made his season debut this weekend for the Phantoms.

However, expect Jackson Cates to be recalled. Cates was recalled for the Flyers trip to Las Vegas & Arizona last week.
