Restricted free agent forward Tyson Foerster has signed a two-year, $7.5M deal ($3.75M AAV) extension with the Philadelphia Flyers according to multiple reports.

The 23-year-old RW was a restricted free agent after being qualified by the Flyers for $863,334.
Last season, Foerster finished with 25-goals & 18-assists in 77-games.
It was the second straight 20 goal season for Foerster in Philadelphia. He became the first Flyer to score 20 goals in his first two seasons in the NHL since Simon Gagne in ’00-’01.
In his three year NHL career, Foerster has 48-goals & 35-assists in 166-career games.

The Flyers and Tyson Foerster were close on two seperate deals. One for three years and one for two years, with the latter one becoming the one they finalized.
A two year deal opens up the possibility for a long term extension next offseason. Foerster will be eligible for an extension now after July 1st 2026.
Flexibility was also a key part to the two year deal.
It allows the Flyers more flexibility to use cap space elsewhere, while also getting a definite read on Foerster over the next two seasons.
