The Philadelphia Flyers losing streak now stands at four games. Losing 4-1 to the Dallas Stars Thursday night at the Wells Fargo Center.

In a game honoring their late great owner Ed Snider, the Flyers sure did a hell of a job not showing up.
From puck drop, the Dallas Stars – winners of five straight – just looked like the better team. Pouncing on every mistake the lifeless Flyers presented to them.
The Stars just out-hustled, out-forechecked, and well frankly, just out-played the Flyers in all three zones. Very evident by the three goals scored in the first two periods.
If face-off goals have been the number one issue for Flyers, goals in-tight around their goalie is a close second. Which, was a contributing factor to Dallas’ first two goals.
Samuel Ersson was hung out to dry by his Flyers teammates in his return. Making 18 saves in the losing effort.

Over the past few games, while the results haven’t been there, the Flyers effort has been. Something that was very different tonight.
There was no result and no effort.
“We struggled. We played shitty,” John Tortorella said about his teams effort. “Tonight we sucked.”
Even though the Flyers have lost 10 of their last 13 games, they have competed in most of them. Of course, minus whatever you want to call tonight’s performance.

Noah Cates four game point streak came to an end. Over his last 14 games, he has 6 goals and 6 assists.
Owen Tippett’s goal-less drought now stands at 8 games.
The Flyers fall to 17-20-5 on the season. Have just 3 wins, 3-9-1, in their last 13 games.
Next up, the Anaheim Ducks and Cutter Gauthier Saturday night at 7:00pm at the Wells Fargo Center.
