Philadelphia Flyers Covid Outbreak Expands

On Sunday, the Philadelphia Flyers added two more players to the covid list. Today, three more players were added to the list.

Before the Flyers took the ice today for practice, the team announced three more additions to the covid list.

Goalie Carter Hart : Forward Derick Brassard – who was nearing his return to lineup : Forward Scott Laughton – who spent 15-days on covid list after testing positive last season.

In addition to adding three players to the list, the Flyers removed one player from the list.

Max Willman, who was added to the list on 12/18, was removed after passing protocol today.

The Philadelphia Flyers now have seven players on the list. Carter Hart, Derick Brassard, & Scott Laughton join Morgan Frost (12/14), Kevin Hayes (12/20), Sean Couturier (12/21), & Ryan Ellis (12/26) on the list.

Currently, the Flyers have 17-players on the active roster. As well as 3-players on the newly returned taxi-squad.

Forwards: Joel Farabee – Travis Konecny – Oskar Lindblom – Claude Giroux – Cam Atkinson – Max Willman – James van Riemsdyk – Patrick Brown – Zack MacEwen

Defense: Ivan Provorov – Justin Braun – Travis Sanheim – Rasmus Ristolainen – Keith Yandle – Kevin Connauton – Nick Seeler

Goalie: Martin Jones

Taxi-Squad: Gerry Mayhew – Jackson Cates – Felix Sandstrom

With the Flyers departing for Seattle after practice tomorrow, there is still hope for some on the covid list to return. Mainly Morgan Frost, Kevin Hayes, & Sean Couturier.

However, if Frost, Hayes, & Couturier are still on the list tomorrow, they will miss Wednesday’s game vs the Kraken.

Thus, if none are removed tomorrow, another forward will have to be recalled to the taxi-squad.
