After falling behind 3-0 in the first 4-minutes on Thursday night, the Flyers showed resilience. Proving to themselves they have the ability to battle adversity & come-back.
“I think it was 3-0 with 16 minutes left, so lots of time,” forward Scott Laughton said. “Don’t think we’ve had a comeback win this year, so it feels good to come back, especially in the fashion we did. Guys were working hard all night, supporting each other all over the ice. It’s a huge win to build off of.”
The Flyers showed no-quit on Thursday. Something that some Flyers believe will be a help down the road in the playoffs. Especially in this mini 3-games series vs the Penguins currently.
“In our locker room, we’ve been calling it a playoff series,” forward Travis Konecny said. “You’ve got make sure you win two out of the three.”
With their 4-3 win on Thursday, the Flyers improved to 3-1-0 in their tough 6-game in 9-night stretch. Today, they look to start off their back-to-back with a win.
“I do think there are some moments in a regular season where a team has a gut check,” head coach Alain Vigneault said. “Big character win.”
