The Flyers played their best 60-minute effort of the season in their comeback win on Thursday. But, on Saturday, couldn’t capitalize on the little things. Something the Penguins took advantage of & capitalized on.

“There’s things that we can clean up,” forward Travis Konecny said. “I did think in a lot of areas we played the right way. They’re a good team and they capitalized on some stuff.”

After sweeping the Sabres to start their 6-game in 9-day stretch, the Flyers lost two of three in Pittsburgh. Which, if it wasn’t for their comeback on Thursday, could have easily been three losses.

“Obviously, you want to come in here and sweep all three games, but it’s a tough league,” forward Joel Farabee said. “I thought we gave a pretty good effort and that third period could have gone either way.”

Playing in-front of fans for the first time this season in Pittsburgh, the Flyers now return home to fans of their own. Look to end their tough stretch with a win in their first game in-front of the Philadelphia faithful.

“We’re really excited to have them back,” forward Joel Farabee said. “It’s really nice to feel their energy, it really helps us. We’re looking forward to it and hopefully they’re ready, too.”
