Dan Vladar’s first career playoff shutout completed the sweep in Pittsburgh as the Flyers take a 2-0 lead in the series.

He made 27 saves in the 3-0 win over the Penguins in Game 2.

Porter Martone opened the scoring for the Flyers. His second goal of the series was the game winner for the second straight game.

He became the first player in NHL history to score the game winner in his first two playoff games.

Martone’s goal capped off an incredibly smart shift by the 19 year old. His no look pass to Christian Dvorak in the corner with tired Penguins on the ice created the space needed on the back door for the goal.

Dvorak and Travis Konecny both picked up assists on the play. It was both their second points of the series.

Garnet Hathaway doubled the Flyers lead on the penalty kill. His first goal of the series finished off a man-handling shift by Owen Tippett.

Tippett glided to the puck before out-muscling three Penguins to get control in the zone. Then, slide the cross ice pass to Hathaway who slammed it home in the empty net.

Luke Glendening empty netter iced the game with 2:05 left.

The game got very physical after the Flyers went up 3-0. Pittsburgh took four penalties in the final 73 seconds, including three Penguins receiving 10-minute misconducts and an early exit.

The Flyers now return home to Philadelphia up 2-0 for Game 3 at Xfinity Mobile Arena on Wednesday night at 7:00pm.
