PHILADELPHIA – Matvei Michkov has three points to lead the Flyers to a 4-2 win in their season finale over the Montreal Canadians.

It was his 11th multi-point game of the season. The Flyers are 11-0-0 in those games.

Michkov became the first Flyer since Simon Gagne to record 20 or more goals in his first two seasons. Tyson Foerster accomplished this feat as well the past two seasons, but it was technically his second and third seasons.

He finished the night with a goal and two assists.

Porter Martone continued his impressive debut in Philadelphia with two more points. His third multi-point game in his first nine games.

His third goal in the last four games opened the scoring for the Flyers. Redirecting home a Matvei Michkov shot on a delayed Canadians penalty.

It was his sixth straight game with a point. The longest streak by a Flyers teenager since captain Sean Couturier in 2012.

The Flyers rested most of their more valuable veteran players. Hunter McDonald and Oliver Bonk made their NHL debuts.

Both of their debuts were memorable ones.

Bonk got his first career goal and multi-point game. McDonald got his first career point as well.

Samuel Ersson continued his strong play since the Olympic break. He made 27 saves to earn his sixth win, in seven starts, since the break.

The Flyers ended the season with a 43-27-12 record. Their 43 wins was the most since the 2011-12 season.

It’s playoff time now and a matchup with their cross state rival Pittsburgh Penguins awaits. The schedule will be released on Thursday.
