On Thursday in Minnesota, the Philadelphia Flyers played the final two period with 10 forwards. Tonight, they will play shorthanded again upfront.
Wade Allison and Zack MacEwen, the two Flyers forward who left the game in Minnesota, will not play tonight in Winnipeg.
Allison, who left early in the 2nd period against the Wild, blocked a Calen Addison shot off his right knee.
Before leaving the bench for the rest of the game, Allison tried to tough it out. But, did eventually go to the locker room.
MacEwen, who was injured during his 1st period fight with Marcus Foligno, suffered a broken jaw.
Pregame, the Flyers announced that MacEwen underwent successful surgery for a fractured jaw this morning. He is expected to miss approximately five weeks.
Kieffer Bellows, who last played in an NHL game on December 17th before being waived to the Phantoms, will enter the lineup.
Bellows had 3 goals and 6 assists in 11 games in Lehigh with the Phantoms before being recalled on January 5th.
Justin Braun, who last played on January 2nd, will also enter the lineup.
The Flyers will go with 11 forwards and 7 defenseman vs the Jets tonight in Winnipeg.
