The one thing the Flyers continue to fail to do is start games on the right foot. Something that has been hard to come by over the past two months.
In their last 9-games, the Flyers have allowed the games first goal. Failing to have a 1st period lead or tie game during the first intermission.
“It’s unacceptable the effort that we put in there the first half of the game,” forward Sean Couturier said. “It’s not easy, it’s not fun. We need to be better, we need to be more ready from the start of a game and be tougher to play for a full game. We can’t be on and off.”
Tonight, the Flyers look to jump out early on the young Devils. Something the Flyers have only done once in their 4-games so far this season vs the Devils.
A loss tonight would officially eliminate the Flyers from the playoffs.
