Scott Laughton gave the Flyers a 1-0 lead early in the 2nd period. Laughton ended a 10 game goal-less drought on his 4th goal of the season.

“It’s one of those ones that kind of just opened up,” Tippett said on his goal. “D kind of stood up, made himself small, and I was able to kind of get around him.”

John Tortorella once again did not want to again call this trip or set of games a statement for his team.
“I just think the team just come to work and that’s that’s what’s good about our group,” Tortorella said. “They come to work each and every day and they attack that day. And that’s all that’s that’s how we’ve been going about it.”
Carter Hart made some key late saves after allowing quirky goal to start the 3rd period. But, Hart made sure to note just how much the guys in-front of him deserve the credit too.
“It’s just crazy to see that guys aren’t scared to block shots with their face,” Hart said of the Flyers laying their bodies out to block shots. “They’re the ones with less equipment than us and just the willingness to lay their bodies in front of 95 mile an hour shots.”
