The Flyers responded last night with their best 60-minute effort of the season. But, squandered it in the 3rd period & overtime with two blunders.

“We came to play tonight,” head coach Alain Vigneault said. “Thought tonight we battled hard; Had some real good looks. At the end of the night, their goaltender was the difference tonight.”

Even in the losing effort, the Flyers responded. Not just at the start of the game. But, also after the Islanders tied the game in the 3rd period.

“I think the whole team played pretty solid. All the lines were playing well,” forward Claude Giroux said. “We were playing great as a team. Even when they tied it up, I feel like we just kept playing our game; A lot of positives to take from tonight.”

Tonight, the Flyers look to build on those positives & get back in the win column. Look to extend their win streak to three games vs the Devils.

“We just have to stick together, keep battling,” forward Sean Couturier said. “It’s frustrating, in the games that we are playing good, we find a way to lose. But, like tonight, it’s a good game to kind of build on, even if it’s a tough result.”
