After avenging their Game7 loss to the Islanders, the Flyers now look to avenge their two losses to the Bruins from two weeks ago. Two loses that saw the Bruins score 10-goals against the Flyers.

Since the two loses to the Bruins in Boston, the Flyers have won four-straight games. Over those four-games improving their 5v5 play. But, once again having to be bailed out by their goal-tending.

Head coach Alain Vigneault is still not impressed with their 5v5 effort. But, noted that “in the last 3 games our 5 on 5 play defensively has gotten better. I don’t think we’re there yet, but I do think we’re taking the steps in the right direction.”

Even with taking a “step in the right direction”, the Flyers still need to support each other better on the ice. With their zone exit & transition being the one of their biggest struggles. However, shots on net remains their greatest struggle. With a league worse -97 shot differential.

The Flyers look to extend their win-streak to five-games & end a three-game losing streak to the Bruins.

“I think we can get better 5 on 5,” forward Scott Laughton said. “Need to be quick on pucks and making it hard on their defenders turning and forcing them to make mistakes instead of being so spread out. We will continue to get better.”
