PHILADELPHIA: The Flyers responded to Sunday’s loss with a 4-1 win over the San Jose Sharks Tuesday night at Xfinity Mobile Arena.

Christian Dvorak finally was the one to get a puck by Alex Nedeljkovic late in the first period. His seventh of the season tied the game at 1-1 heading into the second period.

The Flyers fired 16 shots at the Sharks net-minder in the first period. Dvorak’s goal came on their 15th shot of the period.

Travis Konecny recorded career point #500 on Dvorak’s opening goal. He became the seventh player from the 2015 draft class to reach 500 career points.

The assist also extended his point streak to five games.

Carl Grundstrom and Noah Cates each scored in the second period, extending the Flyers lead to 3-1.

Bobby Brink set up Cates seventh goal of the season with an incredible tape to tape saucer pass as he entered the zone. The duo each have three points in their last three games.

Nine Flyers finished with at least a point in the win over the Sharks.

Matvei Michkov turned 21 today. The Flyers star almost had a deja vu moment in the first period, nearly scoring in the first three minutes of the game just like Sean Couturier did on his birthday on Sunday.

Dan Vladar picked up his 11th win on the season, needing just 17 saves to do so.

Ty Murchison made his NHL debut in-front of the Philadelphia crowd. He had 20 close friends and family in attendance to watch the special occasion.

One of them was Flyers goalie prospect Carson Bjarnason. He and Murchison are really good friends from the past few years of rookie camp and now teammates in Lehigh Valley.

The Flyers return to action on Thursday night when they host the Vegas Golden Knights at 7:00pm.
