PHILADELPHIA: The comeback kids came up one short once again as the Vegas Golden Knights won 3-2 in overtime.

The Flyers fought back and forth with the Golden Knights, answering each punch the Knights threw at them.

Travis Konecny was on the wrong end of a big mistake in overtime leading to the Golden Knights goal. Instead of passing it up ice, Konecny circled twice before whiffing on a pass.

Jack Eichel pounced on the puck and slide a cross ice pass to Mark Stone on the doorstep for the slam dunk.

Trevor Zegras got the Flyers on the board late in the first period. His team leading 11th goal of the season.

The goal was set up by an incredible backdoor pass by Travis Sanheim that left even Zegras in awh. It led to a perfectly timed camera pan of Zegras screaming “what a f*cking pass.”

Christian Dvorak would get his first of two assists of the net on the play.

His second assist set up Noah Juulsen’s first goal as a Flyer. Juulsen’s unleashed an absolute rocket on the one timer from the dot.

Carl Grundstrom picked up the other assist. It was his second point in as many games since rejoining the lineup for Nic Deslauriers.

Dan Vladar once again gave the Flyers a chance to win and stood on his head when the team needed him. He made 18 saves to earn the Flyers a point.

Carter Hart made his return to Philadelphia for the first time since the 2018 Hockey Canada investigation. Hart did not make the start tonight, but did receive a mix of boo’s and cheers during warmups.

The Flyers return to action on Saturday night when they host the Carolina Hurricanes at 7:00pm.
