Two goals in a span of 70-seconds got the Flyers the lead early in the 1st period, which was just the appetizer of a dominating 3-1 win over the New York Rangers Friday afternoon at the Wells Fargo Center.
Bobby Brink opened the scoring for the Flyers. Ending a 6-game goal-less drought.
His 4th goal of the season was in do part by a great forecheck by Tyson Foerster, who out-muscled Adam Fox at the point and slid the puck to Brink in-front.
Foerster has 4-points – 2 goals and 2 assists – in his last 7-games. He had just 3-points – 2 goals and 1 assist – in his first 16-games of the season.
Travis Konecny doubled the lead 70-seconds later. Extending his point streak to 4-games – 1 goal and 4 assists.
Over his last 12-games, Konecny has 7-goals and 11-assists. Second most in the NHL during that time.

The Rangers would cut the lead in half mid-way thru the 2nd period.
A Flyers broken stick led to Scott Laughton trying to get a new one and an ensuring 5v4 for the Rangers. Vincent Trocheck would beat Ivan Fedotov high over the blocker for the goal.
But, unlike unraveling like Monday night against the Vegas Golden Knights, the Flyers dug in and fought on.
Travis Konecny would put the icing on the cake with 28-seconds left. Icing the game with the empty netter for his second goal of the game.
Ivan Fedotov made 23-saves in the win, his 4th win of the season. Improving to 4-1-1 in his last 6-starts.

Sean Couturier extended his point streak to 4-games, 3 goals and 2 assists, with his assist on Travis Konecny’s first goal.
With points in their last 4-games, the Flyers are now above hockey .500 for the first time since opening night.
The Flyers improve to 11-10-3 on the season. Next up, the St Louis Blues in St Louis tomorrow night at 7:00pm.
