The Philadelphia Flyers lost their second straight game Friday at the Wells Fargo Center. Losing to the New York Rangers 3-1.

If a 1:00pm game against your division rival wasn’t enough to get the Flyers going, the first 1:53 sure did.
After two breakdowns and two Rangers shots, the Flyers were behind 2-0 just 1:53 into the game. A start that did not sit well with head coach John Tortorella.
“We did not have any support,” Tortorella said of the Flyers start. “Discipline has been a staple of our team and that was nowhere to be found.”
Back checking was a key point Tortorella noted. Mentioning you have to back check against a team like that. Especially when you give up the puck easily.
All two of the three Rangers goals were a result of the Flyers poor back check. Both coming on odd man rushes from undisciplined plays.
The Rangers other goal came off the most undisciplined play of the day. A pass by Travis Sanheim right into the slot in-front of the net.

Morgan Frost Healthy Scratch Again
For the 10th time in the last 20 games, Morgan Frost was not in the Flyers lineup. A move that is becoming too much of a regular occurrence for Frost.
After breaking out over the final 54 games last season, Frost has struggled to find consistency in the Flyers lineup this season. Being replaced in the lineup by rookies Tyson Foerster and Bobby Brink.
With another lack luster performance by the Flyers today, their second straight, Frost may get his opportunity to return to the lineup on Tuesday.
On the season, Frost has 2 goals and 2 assists in 10 games.

Rangers Continue Hot Streak In Philadelphia
Over the last 12 games between the two sides, the New York Rangers have had the Flyers number. A number that today saw the Rangers get their 10th win over the Flyers in their 13 games.
It was also the Rangers 5th straight win over the Flyers at the Wells Fargo Center.
