The Flyers provided some injury updates late Friday afternoon to some key players injured this week.
Jamie Drysdale, Bobby Brink, and Travis Konecny all did not finish games this week. All three sustained upper-body injuries.
In the first period on Tuesday against the Ducks, Brink took a high hit in the offensive zone. Before he could return to the game, the concussion spotter pulled him from the game and did not return.
Last night, Konecny went down awkwardly in the first period in a collision with a Maple Leaf and the referee. Rick Tocchet said postgame something was bothering Konecny and got worse as the game went on.
Brink and Konecny are listed as day-to-day per GM Danny Briere. Their status for tomorrow’s game vs the Tampa Bay Lightning is unknown.
Drysdale, unfortunately, will miss some time with his upper-body injury.
The Flyers placed Drysdale on injured reserve today. He took a blindside hit by Ducks Ross Johnston in the second period on Tuesday.
Adam Ginning, who was with the Flyers for the first 18 games of the season, returns to give them depth on the blueline.
Since being waived and sent to the Phantoms, Ginning has one goal and two assists in 17 games.
