Philadelphia Flyers Schedule Changes

The 2022 Winter Olympics were supposed to see the return of NHL players. However, due to covid postponements, the NHL had to back out of the Olympics.

 

 

In the 2021-2022 schedule, the NHL had a three-week period to allow players to go to the Olympics. But, those three weeks will now be used to make-up postponed games.

“The National Hockey League today announced a comprehensive update to the 2021-22 regular-season schedule. One that will enable all 32 teams to complete their respective 82-game slates by the regular season’s original closing date of Friday, April 29.” – NHL PR

On Wednesday, the NHL revealed the new revised schedule. A revised schedule that saw 98-postponed games have a rescheduled date & 23-scheduled games changed to maximize that number.

For the Flyers, they will now play six games during the original Olympic break. All four Flyers postponed games, as well as two previously scheduled games, will be played during the break.

 

 

1- Postponed 1/18 – Detroit Red Wings @ Philadelphia Flyers > now 2/9 – 7:00PM

2- Scheduled 2/23 – Philadelphia Flyers @ Detroit Red Wings > now 2/12 – 12:00PM

3- Postponed 12/23 – Philadelphia Flyers @ Pittsburgh Penguins > now 2/15 – 7:00PM

4- Postponed 12/21 – Washington Capitals @ Philadelphia Flyers > now 2/17- 7:00PM

5- Postponed 1/11 – Carolina Hurricanes @ Philadelphia Flyers > now 2/21 – 3:00PM

6- Scheduled 2/28 – St Louis Blues @ Philadelphia Flyers > now 2/22 – 7:00PM

 

 

Per the Flyers & Wells Fargo Center…

All tickets for the previously scheduled games will be for their new dates.
 
Alternatively, all ticket holders may exchange their tickets for another regular season game this season:

  • Flyers season ticket members can exchange tickets for a different game through their online account.
  • Single game ticket holders who purchased tickets through the Flyers will receive an email with instructions to exchange their tickets for a different game if they choose.
  • Ticket holders who purchased tickets through a third party must handle any exchanges with that third party.

In addition to the rescheduled games, the Flyers game on April 27 in Winnipeg vs the Jets, will now begin at 7:30pm.
