With a full Wells Fargo Center, the Flyers came out with energy on Friday. An energy that led to a look at the new look & new identity Flyers. However, it was short lived.
“It was great to have a full crowd out there. We had control of the game,” Claude Giroux said. “In the second we took a couple penalties and we’re playing on our heels a little bit.”
The Flyers had one of their best opening periods in recent history on Friday night. But, like much of last season, it was like a switch was flipped. Falling back into a shelf of themselves from last season in the 2nd period.
“Thought we played a pretty solid game. First period, we were buzzing,” Cam Atkinson said. “Second period, we were on our heels a little bit, instead of our toes.”
After a shaky 2nd period on Friday, Carter Hart responded with a big 3rd period & overtime. Tonight, Hart gets right back at it. Looking for his first win of the season.
