The one thing the Flyers look to improve on is their sloppy play. Something that, over the past 7-games, has caused them to be behind by at least 2-goals in every game.
“We can’t play a perfect game,” head coach Alain Vigneault said. “We are preparing ourselves the right way. Players are going out there and competing & battling; the results right now are not going our way.”
Over the past 7-games, the Flyers have been struggling to make the right play. Whether that be trying to make an extra move rather than dumping & chasing or just simply putting the puck on net. The Flyers, right now, are just trying to do too much rather than making the basic play.
“Making decisions and playing a style that we’re not shooting ourselves in the foot,” forward James van Riemsdyk said. “Just cleaning up some decisions with that and just making sure we are keeping it simple.”
After losing five of their last seven, the Flyers enter tonight’s game looking to end a two-game losing streak. Look to extend their win streak to five-games at Madison Square Garden.
“We need to have more confidence in ourselves,” forward Claude Giroux said.
