Owen Tippett had just 4 goals thru his first 24 games of the season. In his last 5 games, he now has 5 goals.

For the second straight game, Tippett scored for the Flyers. It is his third multi-game goal streak of the season.

His 9th goal of the season extended the Flyers lead to 2-0 just over the mid-way point of the 1st period.

Each of his previous 4 goals were assisted by Matvei Michkov. Unfortunately that streak was broken as Jamie Drysdale and Morgan Frost got the assists.

It was Drysdale’s first point since returning from injury. Ending a 9 game pointless drought.

Travis Konecny ended a 4 game goal-less drought with a pair of goals. It was his 5th multi-goal game of the season.

His first of two 2nd period goals came on the power-play. Matvei Michkov slid a cross-ice pass to a wide-open Konecny to give the Flyers a 3-0 lead.

Michkov’s 15th assist of the season extended his point streak to 5 games – 3 goals and 7 assists.

Konecny’s second goal of the period was again set-up by a great pass. This time, Joel Farabee laid a perfect stretch pass from the Flyers zone to Konecny on the far blue-line.

It was his 23rd and 24th point since November 5th, T-2nd most points during that time.

The Flyers third line continued to produce. Opening the scoring in the 1st period.

Tyson Foerster, Noah Cates, and Bobby Brink have been causing havoc since being put together as a line.

The trio have been a pleasant surprise for the Flyers. Giving John Tortorella a reliable, hard nosed checking line to play against any line on any given night.

Noah Cates 4th goal of the season was a greasy one. Going to the net hard and tipping home the rebound off a Tyson Foerster shot.

While Bobby Brink was the only one on the line to not get an assist, he did get an assist on Travis Konecny’s first goal later on. Giving the whole line each a point tonight.

Samuel Ersson didn’t see much action in the 5-3 win. Making just 14-saves for his 6th win of the season.

Morgan Frost scored his 4th goal of the season in the 3rd period. His second point of the game ended a 5 game goal-less drought.

He was also a +2 and is now +7 since returning from his three game healthy scratching.

Matvei Michkov got his second assist of the game on the goal. His 9th multi-point game of the season.

The Flyers improve to 13-12-4 on the season. Next up, the Detroit Red Wings Thursday night at the Wells Fargo Center at 7:00pm.
