The Philadelphia Flyers dropped their second straight in heart breaking fashion, losing 2-1 to the Edmonton Oilers in overtime.

Matvei Michkov has had a knack for showing up in big games so far in his young career. One team that he has done extremely well against is the Edmonton Oilers.
In his two previous career games against the Oilers, Michkov has three goals and two assists. One of those goals being his first career goal in the NHL.
Tonight, Michkov continued to step up when the lights are the brightest, especially with Connor McDavid on the other side of the ice.
His fourth goal of the season tied the game at 1-1 late in the 2nd period. It was his third goal in as many games.
The power-play goal was a much needed boost for the Flyers, who were being outshot 24 to 7 before the power-play.
It was the first power-play goal in three games for the Flyers.
Dan Vladar was the star of the show tonight. His 30 saves were the reason the Flyers got a point.

Tyson Foerster made his return from injured reserve after missing the past four games with a lower body injury. Carl Grundstrom was sent back to the Phantoms to make room of Foerster.
In his return, he had two shots on goal in 19:26 of ice time.
Travis Konecny extended his point streak to eight games with an assist on Matvei Michkov’s fourth goal of the season. He has ten points, four goals and six assists, during the point streak.
Konecny thought he won the game with 23.5 seconds left in regulation. But, it was overturned after it was determined that Owen Tippett was offsides.
The Flyers return to action on Friday night when they travel to St Louis to take on the Blues at 8:00pm.
