The Philadelphia Flyers lost 6-3 to the Calgary Flames Tuesday night at the Wells Fargo Center. Ending their five game point streak.

If the first 7:39 would have told you anything, it looked like what would have been a tight checking game.
However, fast forward 9:51 of game time, that was all blown out the building.
The Flyers and Flames combined for six goals during that span on 18 shots. Three of which came in a span of 1:52, all by the Flames, which ended Samuel Ersson’s night early just 9:32 into the game.
Noah Cates got the Flyers on the board just 22 seconds after Ersson was pulled. His 14th goal of the season and 4th in his last four games.
Andrei Kuzmenko would get the Flyers back within one with 2:49 left in the period. Scoring his 2nd goal in a Flyers uniform against his former team.
But, just 18 seconds later, Ivan Fedotov would let in a squeaker after making some highlight reel saves after entering the game.
Exhausted yet? That was just the first 20-minutes.

Things calmed down thereafter. Both teams failing to create much after that. Which, was a continuation of the first 7-minutes of the game before the 6 goals.
Former Flyer Morgan Frost would set up the lone Flames goal after the 1st period. Calgary would get an empty net goal late in 3rd period.
His second assist of the game came on the power-play. Finding Mackenzie Weegar in the high slot for the goal.
Joel Farabee, the other Flyer in the January 31st trade, was held off the scoresheet by his former team.
The two former Flyers didn’t shy away from mixing it up with their former teammates.
Travis Konecny, in the middle of the 2nd period, had Frost in a bear hug. A moment that was very serious in nature until the two realized who it was.
Both Konecny and Frost couldn’t stop laughing going back to the benches.

Samuel Ersson was pulled after giving up 3 goals on 5 shots in the first 9:32. It is the second time in his last eight starts being pulled from the game.
Ersson’s counterpart, Ivan Fedotov, started off hot. Making saves on the first six shots he faced. Including some highlight reel ones in tight.
But, Fedotov’s struggles came back late in the 1st period. Letting in a weak one just 18 seconds after the Flyers made it 3-2.
Fedotov finished the night with 25 saves.
