From the United States Developmental Program, Kaplan finished with 21 G & 35 A in 75-games split between the U-18 & USMDP.
Kaplan fits the mold of the new style of players that the Flyers have been focusing on. His size & skill are two big qualities the Flyers covet.
The 6’3″ 205lbs forward finished as the #67 ranked prospect according to Bob McKenzie and is coming off a good season with the stacked United States Developmental Team.

“Devin Kaplan has a rare combination of size, speed, and skill that makes him a real interesting prospect. I think he’s equally got all three of those incorporated in his game, and I wouldn’t say one stands out to me above the rest. He has quick feet and is surprisingly very mobile on the ice for his size.” Douglas Larson – FC Hockey
Headed to Boston University next year, Kaplan is excited to start the rivalry with the Flyers #5 overall selection & good friend Cutter Gauthier.

The Flyers have four picks remaining in the 2022 draft. Picks 133, 165, 197, & 220.
