Just when the Philadelphia Flyers were starting to get healthy, it looks like the injury bug has struck again. This time in net with star goal-tender Carter Hart.
Hart, who left morning skate early, looks to be battling a nagging injury. An injury that looks like it will keep him from backing up Brian Elliott tonight.
When the Flyers recalled Connor Bunnaman, which has become a simple paper move to save salary cap, they also re-called & activated Alex Lyon. Which confirms Carter Hart will not be available tonight.
There is still a possibility of Hart backing up Brian Elliott. But, with the recall of Alex Lyon, it doesn’t seem likely.
No information is known at the moment to what the exact reason why Carter Hart is missing tonight. Hart could be hurt, which it is unknown when or how an injury could have happened. Another possibility could be Covid. Which has shutdown the Devils, the Flyers opponent from last week.
Whatever it is, it seems serious enough to keep Hart from backing up tonight.
