The Flyers will certainly be holding their breath as starting netminder Carter Hart left during the opening period of Wednesday night’s game against the Buffalo Sabres.
Hart, who left the game at the 10:00 mark of the 1st period, was in discomfort after Sabres winger Kyle Okposo fell on his right leg during a scrum in-front of the Flyers net.
After staying down initially, Hart eventually made it to his feet and was visited by the Flyers training staff on the ice. Hart would stay in the game for the time being.
However, after Jeff Skinner’s goal to give the Sabres a 2-1 lead, Hart would once again be slow to his feet. Signaling to the bench for the trainer and this time would leave the game.
Update: “Mid-body” injury per the Flyers.
