In their season opener, the Flyers failed to keep the the momentum vs Vancouver after a big opening period. On Monday against Seattle, the Flyers made sure to not let off the gas pedal.

“Think that last game we came out pretty good. But, we left off so we corrected that,” Travis Konecny said. “It’s not just about playing hard and fast all the time. You have to stay together and support each other and not get too far ahead.”

Last season, failing to capitalize on momentum was a major issue for the Flyers. After two games, it has been 50-50 for the Flyers. With one momentum shift going bad & one momentum shift going good.

“The second period that we had the first game wasn’t that great,” Claude Giroux said. “That was kind of a message in the room, just keep pressuring and keep playing the same way and we’ll be fine.”

With Carter Hart starting the first two games for the Flyers, Hart will get a much deserved game off. Martin Jones will make his Flyers debut tonight.
