Laczynski & Sandin To Taxi-Squad; Bunnaman & Twarynski To Phantoms

After making it known last Wednesday that some prospects could get a chance soon, Philadelphia Flyers GM Chuck Fletcher put that in motion. Recalling two prospects from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

Today, the Flyers recalled forwards Tanner Laczynski and Linus Sandin from the Phantoms to the taxi-squad.

Laczynski, 6’1″ 205lbs, is a former 6th round pick in 2016 of the Flyers. On the season, Laczynski has 6-goals & 4-assists in 14-games with the Phantoms. This is Laczynski’s first call-up of his career.

Sandin, 6’1″ 210lbs, is an un-drafted free agent signee out of Sweden for the Flyers during the last offseason. On the season, Sandin has 2-goals & 3-assists in 13-games with the Phantoms. Before joining the Flyers for training camp, Sandin had 4-goals & 6-assists in 20-games with SHL club HV71. This is Sandin’s first call-up of his career.

To make this possible, the Flyers assigned Connor Bunnaman and Carsen Twarynski to the Phantoms.

After being a main stay for the Flyers early in the season, Connor Bunnaman has struggled to re-establish his game. Which, after playing in 16 of the first 20 games, Bunnaman has played just twice in the last 15-games.

Carsen Twarynski has been a main-stay on the Flyers taxi-squad all season. On the season, Twarynski has played in just 4-games.

Both Bunnaman & Twarynski can use some time with the Phantoms. Especially with both players playing sparingly over the past year.
