The Philadelphia Flyers won their third straight game Tuesday night at the Wells Fargo Center. Beating the Pittsburgh Penguins 6-1.

2nd period due over?
Going into the 4Nations break, the Flyers were the NHLs worst 2nd period team. Giving up a -22 goal differential.
In the two games post break, they have a league leading +5 goal differential.
On Saturday, a four goal outburst fueled their comeback in route to a 5-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers. Tonight, a three goal outburst put the game away against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
All three 2nd period goals by the Flyers were scored by the line of Tyson Foerster, Noah Cates, and Bobby Brink.
Foerster’s 16th goal of the season got it started off a incredible cross-ice pass by Jamie Drysdale.
Brink’s 8th goal of the season came just 10 seconds after Cates’ second goal of the game. One that Brink himself scored from his reaction on the replay.

For the second straight game, one Flyers line dominated against their opponent.
On Saturday, Owen Tippett, Sean Couturier, and Matvei Michkov combined for 4 goals and 4 assists. Tonight, it was Tyson Foerster, Noah Cates, and Bobby Brink.
The trio combined for 4 goals and 6 assists. Of which, 3 goals and 5 assists in the 2nd period alone.
Cates led the line with 2 goals and 1 assist. It was the third time in last four games a Flyer has been on hat-trick watch heading into the 3rd period.
Foerster finished with 1 goal and 2 assists. While Brink finished with 1 goal and 3 assists.

Samuel Ersson made 22 saves in the 6-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins.
In his last 5 starts, Ersson is 3-1-1 with 2.20 GAA and .926%.
The Flyers, winners of their last 3 games, are now back to hockey .500, 26-26-7. Currently sit just 4 points out of a playoff spot.
