The Flyers finish their preseason schedule tonight at the Wells Fargo Center against the New York Islanders.
Tonight will be a little different than most people originally thought. Especially in net.
Carter Hart said he was aiming to play tonight in the Flyers final preseason game. However, Hart will not play tonight. Which raises some concern to Hart’s health.
Instead of a dress rehearsal, tonight’s lineup will feature many of the Flyers who are battling for the final roster spots.
Noah Cates, who has been moved to center, will get another look at center tonight. With Joel Farabee still OUT, the Flyers are trying to finalize their top-9. If Noah Cates is moved to center, it opens up a spot for another player on the wing. Which could be Olle Lycksell who looks to have won a roster spot.
Troy Grosenick & Samuel Ersson are expected to split the game in net. Ersson will start the game. Grosenick will come in the 3rd period.
