The Flyers 2nd game of the preseason takes them north of the border to Montreal to take on the Canadiens. Game time is 7:00pm and will be streamed on the Flyers website.
Bobby Brink and Olle Lycksell, both with goals – Brink scored twice two goals – yesterday in Washington, will be the lone two players to play tonight again.
Camp invite Eetu Makiniemi will make his debut in net for the Flyers. Makiniemi and Phantoms starter Cal Petersen will split the game tonight vs the Canadiens.
Here are three things to watch for…

Healthy Sean Couturier
For the first time in two seasons, Flyers captain Sean Couturier is fully 100% healthy entering training camp.
On Day 1 of training camp, Couturier admitted the end to his season last year was a tough one due to injury. Finishing the season with just 1 goal and 10 assists over the final 37 games.
After offseason core-muscle surgery, a minor clean up per Couturier, the 12 year veteran will be an important part of the Flyers this season. Especially if Sean can return to his pre-injury form.
Couturier is expected to center the top line tonight with Tyson Foerster and possibly Bobby Brink.

Rasmus Ristolainen Return
Rasmus Ristolainen has not played in an NHL game since February 10th of last season. Missing the final 29 games of the season to an undisclosed upper-body injury.
Before training camp, Ristolainen admitted that two procedures were needed to fix the injury. One of which had to wait at least a month after the first surgery.
John Tortorella is on record saying the Flyers are better off with a healthy Ristolainen. Which is especially true when it comes to his physicality and added toughness to the Flyers lineup.
Ristolainen will man the Flyers top defense unit with Egor Zamula tonight.

Young Defense On Display
Oliver Bonk and Hunter McDonald will make their preseason debuts on defense.
Bonk, the other Flyers 1st round draft pick from 2023, has been a standout in Voorhees over the past two weeks. Starting with a strong showing in rookie camp and now continuing his play into training camp.
McDonald, a 6th round pick from 2022, has shown his improvements on and off the ice so far in camp. Showing up to camp with an extra 19lbs of muscle from offseason training.
Bonk and McDonald are expected to be a pairing tonight in Montreal.
