The Philadelphia Flyers preseason got off to an “ok” start on Tuesday. A start that didn’t necessarily answer head coach Alain Vigneault’s challenge. But, did provide some good moments.
“Felt all the young guys had their moments,” Alain Vigneault said after the Flyers first preseason game. “I went into this game knowing the guys haven’t played a lot of hockey lately. I have to be patient.”
Vigneault is challenging his younger players to “make it real tough for us to make decisions” when it comes to the roster. Two players that are getting early praise are Tyson Foerster & Nick Seeler. Both will play again tonight.
“There was a lot of positive energy,” Alain Vigneault said after the Flyers first preseason game. “I believe they are going to get better moving forward.”
Martin Jones gets the start in net tonight. Jones counter-part, Flyers starter Carter Hart, was impressive in his first game action. Tonight, Jones looks to follow it up.
