After winning straight at Xfintiy Mobile Arena, the Flyers have now dropped back to back contests on home ice.

Much of what went wrong on Saturday night roared its ugly head for most of the game until five minutes left in the third period. The Flyers had just nine shots on goal after two periods.

Travis Konecny provided the lone offense for the Flyers.

It was his shot with 5:43 left in the game that was the team’s first high danger chance of the game. On the ensuring face-off, Konecny fired the puck past Dustin Wolf after Noah Cates won the draw.

His fourth goal of the season extended his point streak to four games.

Aleksei Kolosov played great in his first action of the season. He finished the night with 19 saves, neither goal was his fault.

Trevor Zegras home point streak comes to an end. He will remain tied for the franchise record for Home Game Point Streak to start Flyers career at eight games, sharing the record with Peter Zezel ’84 and Peter Forsberg ’05.

Tyson Foerster was not in the lineup after blocking a shot last night on the inside of his left foot. He is expected to miss the next few games as the team determines the severity of the injury.

According to a source, he will be re-evaluated in the coming days to get a better diagnosis of the injury. It doesn’t sound great right now, but time will tell.

Sean Couturier re-entered the lineup for Foerster. Couturier missed last night’s game with an upper-body injury sustained in Thursday’s win over Nashville.

Joel Farabee and Morgan Frost made their second return to Philadelphia since the trade. The pair were held scoreless on the night.

The Flyers return to action on Tuesday night when they travel to Montreal to take on the Canadiens at 7:00pm to start a two game roadtrip.
