After a bad month of March, the Flyers thought they left their bad habits behind them. But, after 1-1-2 start to April, their slim glimmer of hope for the playoffs is on the line today.
“We’ve just got to keep battling here, stick together and go one game at a time,” forward Claude Giroux said. “We can’t be looking at the big picture here.”
Whether it be desire or fight, the Flyers must pull off something spectacular to make the playoffs this season. Something that starts with the Bruins today before even looking to the Sabres on Sunday.
Over the past two weeks, the Flyers have played some of their best hockey. But, their inability to finish games has put them in the position they are today. In need of a win to keep their season afloat.
“Our record doesn’t indicate how good our team is,” head coach Alain Vigneault said. “Still quite a few games left and what we need to do is focus on tomorrow, and that’s what I’m going to do.”
