KHL free agent to be Vitali Pinchuk is mulling over the jump to the NHL at the conclusion of his season.
The Philadelphia Flyers are one of a handful of teams lining up to be in the conversation for KHL standout Vitali Pinchuk after the KHL season concludes. Elliotte Friedman first broke the news yesterday in his written 32 Thoughts of Pinchuk’s interest in the NHL.
Pinchuk, who is out of a contract at season’s end, is looking at the option of jumping to the NHL for the 2026-27 season.
The 6’3″, 203lb center is in the midst of a breakout season in the KHL. After scoring 25 goals last season as a 22 year old, he is off to a red hot start this season.
The 23 year old has 9 goals and 12 assists in 22 games to start the season. It is a continuation of his success found in Dinamo Minsk semifinal run in the playoffs last season.
In 11 playoff games, he had five goals and six assists.
This is not something new for the Flyers.
Last season, the Flyers showed a similar interest in Maxin Shabanov early in the season. Those rumors got even louder as free agency approached.
Shabanov ended up signing with the New York Islanders, but it shows the Flyers are looking fair and wide for young talent to bolster their young roster.
Current Flyer Aleksei Kolosov played with Pinchuk for four seasons with Dinamo Minsk.
