The one thing the Flyers continue to search for is an answer to their special teams. Something that has caused the Flyers trouble over the past 5-10 games.
After playing their game in the 1st period on Sunday, a slew of power-plays & penalty kills changed the game to more east-west. Which turned the momentum into the Capitals favor.
“It’s huge momentum change when you score or kill a penalty,” forward Sean Couturier said. “Right now we’re not too good in that asset of the game. We just need to be better.”
The Flyers enter tonight’s matchup vs Buffalo having not conceded a goal to the Sabres in the last 181:11 of game time. Look to end a 2-game losing streak & extend win streak to four-straight vs Buffalo.
“To be honest, I don’t really have an answer for you,” defenseman Ivan Provorov said. “Be more aggressive, I think. Put more pucks on net and hopefully that helps us.”
