From Farjestad BK of the SHL, Berglund finished with 18 G & 19 A in 50 games split between Farjestad’s U18, U20, & SHL team.

Berglund was another late riser up draft boards. In particular, due to his impressive U18 tournament for Team Sweden.

His size and hands are two of his biggest attributes that make him a contender to be a checking line center one day for the Flyers.

The 6’3″ 209lbs center finished as the #64 ranked prospect according to Bob Mckenzie.

“It’s his two-way game and physicality that get you excited. Berglund is difficult to move in front of the net and has quick hands, too. I thought he was better at the Five Nations in Michigan but he still proved to be difficult to contain.”– Steven Ellis, Daily Faceoff

Berglund was also ranked as one of Daily Faceoff’s Top 10 Under The Radar prospects in the draft.

From Rimouski of the QMJHL, Gill finished with 12 G & 34 A in 65 games.

Gill was another standout at the U18 Tournament for Team Canada. Something the Flyers have taken good draft stock in with the selection of other tournament standouts Jett Luchanko & Jack Berglund.

His size and physical presence are two of his biggest attributes that give him a solid chance of making the Flyers blue line one day. Not to mention being a right shot, which is hard to find with his size.

The 6’4″ 185lbs right shot defenseman finished as the #53 ranked prospect according to Bob Mckenzie.

“Gill is a physical and imposing defenceman who flashes impressive playmaking and scoring abilities. He can hit the smallest of passing lanes, beat opponents with fakes and float shots to the top of the net from the point. Operating with confidence and timing, he’s constantly attacking space and participating in all his team’s plays in the offensive zone. -EliteProspects 2024 NHL Draft Guide”
