Home cooking. The Philadelphia Flyers won their fourth straight game at Xfinity Mobile Arena, defeating their cross state rival, the Pittsburgh Penguins, 3-2 on Tuesday night.

It was the third straight win in Philadelphia for the Flyers over the Penguins and their fourth in the last five games.

The 3-2 shootout win moves the Flyers to 5-1-0 on home ice this season.

Overtime was an eventful one for both teams, as both the Flyers and Penguins scored. The Flyers goal was called back for offsides and the Penguins goal was an illegal substitution on a delayed penalty call.

The goals were just the start of it. Both teams failed to also score on their power-play opportunities at 4-on-3.

Then, the fista-cuffs started.

After the horn sounded, a scrum broke out and continued over to the Flyers bench. As a result, Trevor Zegras was given a 10-minute misconduct for starting the scrum. While Penguins Sidney Crosby was given a 10-minute misconduct for leaving the bench and entering the fight.

Matvei Michkov and Bobby Brink both scored in the shootout to give the Flyers the win.

Travis Konecny broke the 1-1 tie early in the 2nd period. His second goal of the season was his 200th career goal in NHL.

The goal moved Konecny into 16th in Flyers history in goals scored.

In his last 20 games against the Penguins, Konecny has 10 goals and 13 assists.

Bobby Brink opened up the scoring for the Flyers. His third goal of the season tied the game late in the 1st period.

He also assisted on Konecny’s 200th career goal.

So far this season, Brink has three goals and four assists in nine games.

Trevor Zegras remains red hot in his first season in a Flyers uniform. His team leading seventh assist of the season setup Brink’s opening goal.

Samuel Ersson made the save necessary to earn his second straight win, stopping 27 shots in the win.

Next up, the Nashville Predators Thursday night at Xfinity Mobile Arena at 7:00 pm.
