The Philadelphia Flyers look to get back in the win column after their three game win streak came to an end on Monday, Welcome the Carolina Hurricanes to town tonight at the Wells Fargo Center.
In need of a turnaround, the Flyers found some consistency in their game over the past two games. Getting points in five straight games before Monday’s 3-2 loss to the Colorado Avalanche.
Their five game point streak was much in part to them getting better play in the neutral zone and on the forecheck. Something that the Flyers did so well last year but struggled with early in the season.
Goal-tending has also been a standout over the past two weeks. Ivan Fedotov has won three straight and Aleksei Kolosov had his best game in the NHL Monday vs the Avalanche.
Ivan Fedotov will make his 6th start of the season. On the season, Fedotov is 3-3-0 with 3.64 GAA & .871%.
