Philadelphia: The Philadelphia Flyers used a four goal first period to route the New Jersey Devils 6-3 Saturday night at Xfinity Mobile Arena.

Noah Cates would start the four goal outburst shortly after the Devils took a 1-0 lead. His fifth of the season was his first of three points on the night.

Matvei Michkov and Tyson Foerster would then set a new record for fastest three goals in franchise history. Michkov’s fifth goal and Foerster’s sixth & seventh goals came in a span of 26 seconds.

The three goals also tied the fifth fastest in NHL history.

All four of the Flyers goals came with a span of 3:32, which was ninth fastest in franchise history.

Owen Tippett extended his point streak to four games with an assist on Trevor Zegras’ sixth goal of the season. Tippett sprung Zegras in on a break-away, the second break-away goal of the night for the Flyers.

Bobby Brink scored his sixth goal of the season in the second period, ending a six game goal-less drought.

Dan Vladar continues to show why he wants the number one goalie spot in Philadelphia.

His eighth win of the season was another impressive performance in net, stopping 32 Devils shots fired his way. It was his fifth win at Xfintiy Mobile Arena this season.

Matvei Michkov played in career game #100 tonight. In his first 100 games, he has 31 goals and 42 assists.

Next up, the Flyers head to Tampa on Monday to take on the Lightning at 7:00pm.
