PHILADELPHIA: The one thing the Flyers have shown this year is the willingness to fight. Entering tonight, they were tied for the league lead with four third period comebacks.

For the second time in a week, the Flyers needed a third period comeback to beat the St Louis Blues.

Tyson Foerster tied the game just over the halfway mark of the third period. It was his first goal since returning from injury last week.

His fifth goal of the season was set up by an Emil Andrae cross ice pass before one-timing it past a screened Joel Hofer, set by Noah Cates.

It was Andrae’s third point in his last three games.

In overtime, Travis Sanheim would get the game winner. Sanheim and Sean Couturier would go in on an 2-on-0 and fired it high to the back post.

His second goal of the season ended a 16 game goal-less drought.

Dan Vladar was spectacular once again in net for the Flyers, stopping 27 Blues shots to earn his seventh win of the season.

Rodrigo Abols scored his first goal of the season in the second period. It was his first goal in 23 games.

Owen Tippett set up the goal with a no look, backhand pass from behind the goal. His point streak now stands at three games.

In his last three games, Tippett has 1 goal and 5 assists.

The Flyers return to action on Saturday night when they host the New Jersey Devils at 7:00pm.
