The one thing the Flyers continue to search for is a 60-minute effort. Something that got better on Monday, but still work needs to be done.
“Not quite sure what happened in the second period there,” head coach Alain Vigneault said. “I don’t want to take anything away from the Rangers’ push. We knew they were going to have a push after the way we had played in the first. We weren’t very good in that second period.”
The Flyers found a way to win on Monday. But, continue to have mental lapses during the game. After an impressive 1st period, the Flyers faltered in the 2nd with yet another poor performance in stopping their opponents push.
After losing two straight, the Flyers now look for their second straight win. Look to extend their win streak to six-games at Madison Square Garden.
“Good first period, real good third period, not so good in the middle. We’ve got to find a way to play 60 minutes,” head coach Alain Vigneault.
